Fero looks more menacing in the night than when the sun is shining down. Or maybe the fact is that I feel vulnerable in my current state. I am a human wandering streets where Nieth could kill me if they grew bored. That was a silly worry for me, though. If anyone, Nieth or human, dared to kill me my brother would slowly torture them. He would only stop when the killer was dead.
If my plan to become a wyvern rider failed, maybe I could trick a Nieth into killing me. I smiled at the thought. It would be painful to die and yet my time here would come to an end. Even my brother would be on his deathbed sometime. If only I could be the one to end his reign of torment.
If only.

The Thief and the Ghost Chapter 1: A Gift of Blood
I stood still as I was prepared to be used for entertainment. I was prepared so that I would both be protected and look appealing to those in the stands. Tis Lothis, my Nieth brother, would love for me to be killed in the arena and yet he would lose his toy that way. His precious toy.
"Liaban, raise your arms." One of the women said and I complied.

Update: Starting to Edit Chapter 1 for The Thief and the Ghost
When I was a little kid I loved Christmas. I got free gifts and the whole holiday season felt special. Now as an adult it can get a little more than stressful. Due to the holidays I won't be able to edit and release this chapter until early next year. ARG!

The Thief and the Ghost Prologue
The night wind blew across my body as the tent flaps briefly opened. As always the air was humid even when there was a chill in it. Currently I wasn't sharing my wyvern's eyes and so all I saw was darkness. Though my eyes saw nothing, my other senses had been trained so I could suffer the loss of sight. I felt the humidity of the wind and the warmth of my lover. If a fate worse than death consumed me during the upcoming battle, she would no longer be my wife.
"Mont, thank you for coming." She said, putting her head on my chest.

Update: Starting to Write Prologue for The Thief and the Ghost
I am so excited that this journey is about to start. Wyverns, dragons, bloodshed, and romance. Fun for the whole family...if your whole family is made up of adults.
